What We Believe

Mission
-
To facilitate the Edwards obedience to the “call” of God on their lives, to declare His present day truth through word, music and the arts.

-
To teach and demonstrate all facets of Biblical worship, encompassing prayer and intercession, music and art, preaching and teaching, and the prophetic.

-
To share God’s message of salvation through Jesus Christ… introducing the real Jesus… approachable, personable, compassionate and full of joy.

-
To adhere to the ultimate and essential authority of the Biblical scriptures for Christian faith and lifestyle, justification by faith, and the priesthood of all believers. DMI believes that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that Jesus was born of a virgin, that He was physically raised from the dead, and that an individual’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior determines that individual’s eternal destiny.
Vision
The ministry of DMI sets out the following as core values:
We believe that the foundation of our lives both personally and corporately in the community of Believers is that Jesus Christ is the Cornerstone upon which everything must be built.
In our ministry we are determined to follow the exemplified life of Christ who fulfilled the heart of God. We believe that when one attempts to please the heart of man in a ministry setting it becomes very difficult to accomplish God’s Will. However, when one focuses solely on pleasing the heart of God, then God’s Kingdom will be established and His Will will be accomplished.
As worship leaders we do not approach ministry as entertainers but rather ministers who attempt to communicate man’s heart to God and God’s heart to man. Our ministry is very spontaneous as opposed to being planned, scripted and choreographed. As such, we seek at all times to be Spirit-sensitive rather than seeker-sensitive.

Vision

Team Ministry
We believe that the most productive, fruitful and authentic ministry occurs in “team” ministry versus “individual” ministry. To us a key element in ministry is that of trust….. the “community” relationship God has given us with our band members provides the basis for such trust. Because of this understanding when we minister at a church, conference, outreach, etc. we minister only with our own team members.
Finances
We believe that the “provision” of finances needed for DMI to operate successfully is a critical indicator to us as to whether or not we are operating within God’s Will for the Ministry. We look to God to fund the Ministry solely through honorariums, free will offerings, donations for ministry gifts (CDs, DVDs, Books, etc.) and unsolicited donations.
100% of all revenue generated belongs to Declaration Ministries, Inc. The “Ministry Team” including preacher, teacher, musicians, etc. is compensated based upon individual times and location of ministry services to meet their individual expenses. Board members are not compensated for their service.
